Try playing GTAV on a 360/PS3 and then playing current-gen remakes -- they're essentially two different games. I get that the jumps aren't quite as massive as they used to be, but each console generation is still looking quite a bit better than the last one.
If it were possible to install a PC game onto a PS3 or Xbox 360, those consoles would simply choke. PC games pushes the performance envelop because new hardware is always being released. For example, just recently the nVidia Geforce GTX 680 has just been released. That is 6 generations newer than the GeForce 7000 series.
From a developer's POV, PS3 was absolutely hard to develop games for. They didn't even release games like Rise of the Tomb Raider and The Crew on PS3 while they were released on the 360. The Xbox 360 was released a year before the PS3, and as a result of this there is a greater choice of games available. There are approximately 100 more game titles available for the Xbox 360 than the PS3, and this is a great advantage to have because the ultimate aim is to provide gamers with as many titles and choices as possible.

Wii is definitely way easier on the pocket. With the PS3 at $300 and the Xbox 360 at $200 approximately, the Wii stands out at only $130 — value for money at its best! Bottom line: Wii has fun games and good controllers; for the amount you shell out, it’s practically a steal.
PS3= third person games and fighters. the daulshock just seems better for them imo, with the d pad and looser sticks for agile movements. 360= 1st person games and driving games. due to the triggers actually resembling gun triggers and the precise movement you get from the stiffer sticks.
