Change it to real automatic or sequential to get a different button for reversing. In other words, change your gear to reverse then accelerate as opposed to brake and reverse being the same key. Both Trucks & Trailers and Scania Truck Driving Simulator are excellent for this. Physics aren't as good as ETS2, but they're still plenty playable. As for ETS2 itself, you can use a Jump Start mod, giving you instant levels and money, allow you to buy anything you want. Perfect for just practicing. #7.

I don't think you can bind keyboard keys through controller setting (CMIIW). But you can try edit the controller.sii file and bind keyboard keys to definition. TBH I never try this but worth to try. In Keys & Buttons select the shift up and down buttons you want to use. You can unassign the default shift and control keys. If you want to switch between Automatic and manual shifting select a button or key to toggle the "Gearbox Switch Automatic/Sequential" modes. It's an iriitating beep for some of the people in my home. Tried to do it in the config file, but don't see anything about that. Can i make a new line in it and if so how do i write that? Some help is very welcome. Go to OPTIONS, AUDIO. Then turn off back-up beeper. Simple. Found it. Thanks M8's and close.

I use a full keyboard, so the numerical keys are used for steering and accelerating/braking. The arrows are used for engine and trailer brakes and shifting up and down. Intro is cruise control, - key is increase and + key is decrease. I have tried the mouse steering but I use a trackpad, so it was very difficult. Maybe I will give it another shot. 6C4W2.
