X5 Speedometer not working. My2006 X5 has been having some electrical problems the past few days. My battery mysteriously died 2 days ago, had it jumped, everything worked fine. The next day when I went to start my car the instrument panel wasn't working at all. I replaced the instrument panel fuze and that fixed everything except the speedometer.

As Mike above mentioned, I would bet on one of two things: air pockets still remain in the coolant system-park the car on a steep slope with the nose higher than the rear and re-bleed the system several times. Then, I can bet you will need to add fluid as well.
E90 AC not working after water pump replacement. AC Stopped working when hot outside. After awhile, I noticed my AC would stopped working when it's really hot outside. I was told that this is probably due to the water pump not working properly and the ECU shutting off the AC thinking the engine is overheating.

15435 posts · Joined 2008. #5 · Oct 4, 2019. Remove the heater control valve connector and this should default the valve to open 24/7. If still no heat then: 1) bleed coolant properly. 2) remove that VW air cool engine and replace with stock E46 engine. Reply Like.
Cold air when the heater is on means one of four things: - Stuck-open thermostat (very common) - Low coolant/ air pockets in heater core (very common, but should work themselves out with some high-revs driving) - Stuck-closed heater valve (moderately common) - Stuck baffles in the vent ductwork (not common at all) iTrader: ( 0) Possible thermostat failure.
